Pardon The Interruption

Hey gang I know I've been absent lately but things have been crazy. I had full intentions to post some live Ryan Adams tonight (in honor of the new album Easy Tiger ).....but when I went to post I realized my music upload service is down for maintenance. I'll get them up sometime over the weekend. Things should be calming down pretty soon so I should be back to "rocking your world" again shortly.

Thirsty Thursday - George Thorogood & The Destroyers

Yes I'm still alive. Things have been pretty crazy for me lately...vacation, new job, watching the Red Sox, etc, etc. Anyways I love George's "interpretation" of this John Lee Hooker classic. Till next time...................

Totally 80's Friday! - Richard Marx

Not only did this man compose some of the most romantic songs of the 1980's, but he also had some damn great hair. Have a nice weekend.

Wild Card Wednesday - Jane's Addiction

Perry Farrell was on the Howard Stern show yesterday talking about his new band Satellite Party.. so it made me want to listen to some of my old Jane's Cd's. This track clocks in at a little of 10 minutes but it's well worth the listen (my favorite track by these guys)

Metal Monday! - Ratt

That's right ladies & gentlemen Metal Monday is back..and with a vengeance! Ole Stephen Pearcy & the boys from Ratt are teaming up with Poison for a summer tour. Check out their website for details. This first song is dedicated to my friends Joel & Erica. They were probably the only couple in the last decade (or maybe ever) to include this song in their wedding celebration. Nothing says romance like Ratt!!!!! As far as the second track goes...a true 80's Metal classic.

Soul Music Sunday - Sly & The Family Stone

Sly & Company just re-mastered all of their CD's so now is the time to start your collection. I saw ole Sly come out at the Grammy's last year and time has not been friendly to the man (see picture) but lucky for us the music is timeless.

It's Alive! - The White Stripes

The Forum - 12/6/01 - London, UK

Hey the White Stripes are back on tour this summer and will be releasing a new album later this month. I thought about heading to the Myrtle Beach show but before I knew it tickets were sold out. Plus Sunday night out-of-town concerts make Monday mornings pretty ruff. Anyways I heard they are great live so catch em if you can.
