Wild Card Wednesday - Parliament

I hope everyone enjoyed/is enjoying the holiday vacation. Unfortunately i had to go back to the salt mines this morning. Oh well next week's another short one. For this weeks post i tried to post something that i haven't put on the blog yet (i still have a few tricks up my sleeve) I figure these guys are about as "Wild" as it gets. I've enjoyed the p-funk experience live a few times and it's always entertaining.(one doesn't see 60 year old men wearing diapers everyday) Turn it up and get funked up!

When The Night Has Come - Wilco

That's right, it's time for more Wilco.(I just bought tickets for the Charleston show !) This track was featured on an Internet EP that could be downloaded if you bought the A Ghost is Born Album (does that make sense?) This is my favorite track from that EP and it fits in nicely with this weeks "night" theme. Enjoy.

When the Night Has Come - Simon & Garfunkel

Whether you're driving down a dark road late at night or just battling a bit of insomnia, some songs just sound better after the sun disappears. Over the next few days I'll share some of the songs I listen to at night that sometimes make me feel like I'm the last person on the planet. Here we go.

iPod Shuffle - Wilco

Alright guys I'm feeling a bit lazy this week so I'll let my iPod do the work. I'll just hit "shuffle songs" each day and whatever pops up I'll post. That means you could hear Ratt four times this week (if you're lucky) if for some reason i get a duplicate I'll go to the next track. Here we go........first up.... Wilco.

Wild Card Wednesday - Tom Waits

I watched Rumble Fish last night for the first time in quite awhile. Good flick but I've always been partial to The Outsiders as far as SE Hinton stories go. Anyways Tom waits has cameos in both films but a little bigger role in Rumble Fish. It got me thinking that i hadn't listened to my Tom Waits selections in awhile, so here's two of my favorite tunes from the man. I've posted these before but I think they're worth another listen.

Unplugged Week - Alice in Chains

Okay this will wrap Unplugged Week. Yeah I know i didn't post too many bands but work's been crazy and I went to Jacksonville to see the ACC Championship. I was never a big fan of these guys during their heyday. I kind of dug "Man in the box" but that was about it. I just recently started listening to their unplugged CD and I'm staring to become a fan. I guess I've just missed out the last 10-15 years....enjoy.
