It's Alive! - Porno for Pyros - Part 1

Saugerties, NY - Woodstock '94
8/14/94

A friend of mine purchased the pay per view of Woodstock so I'm fortunate enough to have copies of a few of the shows on VHS. This particular performance had an "evil circus" theme with maniacal looking clowns and devilish acrobats. It's worth a watch if you get the chance. For now you'll just have to settle for the audio which ain't too bad, Enjoy....

Don't get too excited...I don't have any songs from the Steiner Brothers. I just wanted to share that last night I went to a wrestling event which took place in a car dealership parking lot in the "not so nice" area of North
Charleston. For you old schoolers out their the show included The Steiner Brothers and Robert Gibson from the legendary Rock N Roll Express......Jealous?

Mix Tape - 3/16/05 -Part 1

Hey gang it's time again to take a journey through one of my many "World Famous" mix tapes. I remember I wasn't feeling too creative while making this one so I randomly selected Cd's from my collection and then picked my favorite track off that album. My "classic rock section" is represented pretty heavily on this one. Hope you enjoy!

Soul Music Sunday - Lionel Richie

If you were around during the 80's chances are you had a favorite Lionel Richie song. (Even if you don't admit it, I know every time "Hello" comes on the radio you can't help singing along) Here's a bit of Richie trivia for you: Richie wrote a number one pop hit every year for eight straight years...Also I just read that ex-Monkee Michael Nesmith produced the video for All Night Long. (I've been waiting for the right time to throw in a Monkee's reference - I loved that show)

Both songs can be found on Can't Slow Down

Totally 80's Friday - Beastie Boys

I saw a bit of the Beastie Boy's show from Live Earth last week and they still sounded good. Pretty crazy how they are in their third decade of making music. Here's a few tracks from the great Paul's Boutique Album.

Tuesdays with Dylan

Hey gang. I know my posting is a bit sporadic these days, but if I decide to post on Tuesdays (which won't happen every week) I figured I'd dedicate a day for Dylan songs. We'll kick it off with two tracks. One from his first album and one from his most recent.

Man of Constant Sorrow - off Bob Dylan

Thunder on the Mountain - off Modern Times

Soul Music Sunday - Stevie Wonder

Hey two posts in one day..Look out! I figured we were long overdue for a Soul Music Sunday post. I know Stevie had a well established career before the 80's, but my first memories of him came from the classic Cosby Show episode. Look below for a clip from that episode (I couldn't find the whole scene, but "Jammin on the One" is legendary)

It's Alive! - Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Part I

World Cafe Live! - Philadelphia, PA
6/15/07

Alright guys, Mediamax is still having upload issues so I decided to search around for other economical (free) file hosting sites. I happened to stumble upon www.quicksharing.com and I think it's a winner. You don't have to register on the site and it offers unlimited uploads....sweet! As far as downloading goes you'll want to click on the song link and that will lead you to the quicksharing site. Then look in the top left corner and it will say Download file..from here you can either click on the file to listen or right click and save it to your computer. If anyone has any problems just shot me an email. I hope mediamax goes back to normal but till then I'll try the quicksharing.

I wasn't able to post last week so I figured we'd take two more days to celebrate Ryan's new Cd. This show was broadcast on the radio a few weeks ago and features a good mix of old & new tunes.

They sound a little different than the ones on the album (maybe a bit better) so be sure to check em' out.

You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry

Well the good news is that you should be able to listen to all the available tracks on the site. The bad news is ever since the Mediamax maintenance I've been unable to upload any new songs. I shot an email to the help desk so we'll see what happens..kind of frustrating. Hope everyone has a happy 4th!
