Wild Card Wednesday - Michael Jackson
Sure this guys reputation has gone through the ringer the last 10 years or so but back in 82/83 he was the man and you and everyone on your block had this Album. Let's remember the good ole' days with two tracks from Thriller

Totally 80's Friday! - Footloose
Footloose is one of those movies that if I'm flipping through the channels and it's on, I have to stop and watch it (Point Break is also in that category) It' s definitely one of my top 3 favorite 80's movies. (In case you care The Karate Kid & Gymkata round out the list)
Here's two slow jams featured in the flick. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!!

Wilco Week
Enmore Theatre - Sydney, Australia
4/21/07 - Part 1
Hey gang. I figured we'd cap off Wilco Week with "a whole show of songs"..or as Frank the Tank would say.."A whole meal of food." This is a bit of a long show so I'm going to split it up into 3 or 4 parts. This concert features songs from a variety of Wilco Albums..... from Being Their to Sky Blue Sky.... and everything in between (No A.M tracks though)
You Are My Face
I Am Trying To Break Your Heart
Muzzle Of Bees
Handshake Drugs
A Shot In The Arm

Wilco Week
Union College - Schenectady, NY
4/27/02
Hey gang. Well after work I purchased the new Wilco album (which I've heard many times streamed from http://www.wilcoweb.com/) I got the "Deluxe Version" which includes a DVD Documentary...which I plan on checking out later tonight. After a few listens I really enjoy the album. It's very laid back (no thrash-metal on this one) and a perfect "lazy day" soundtrack. As promised here's more live cuts. Oh yeah don't forget to check out Wilco on The David Letterman Show tonight.

Wilco Week
The Norva - Norfolk, VA
9/27/04
Well I may be a bit biased, but this is my favorite Wilco show that's in my collection. Part of the reason (well probably all of it) is that this was my first time seeing the band live. I don't know about you but I prefer the intimate setting of a club as opposed to an amphitheater/coliseum show. This show was at the beginning of the "A Ghost Is Born" tour while the band was still fresh & excited about the new songs. I saw them two years later (still touring on the same album) & you could tell that the band (although entertaining) sounded a bit sluggish & "rehearsed". Anyways I'll be posting some live Wilco and Wilco related tracks all week in honor of the new album (Sky Blue Sky) coming out tomorrow.

It's Alive! - Prince
Dolphin Stadium - Miami, FL
2/4/07
I'm sure most of you saw this performance a few months ago on the Super Bowl. These tracks were the ones Prince performed during the halftime show. He sang a few songs during the pre show but the sound quality of the mp3's I have have aren't that great. (The tracks are pretty short so they shouldn't take long to download) Enjoy!

Willie Nelson featuring Toots Hibbert
I'm skipping town to go to Virginia for a few days for a mini vacation. While I'm up there I'll have the pleasure of seeing a living legend in concert.........Weird Al. If you're in the Richmond area check out the Innsbrook After Hours website for details.
The weather is pretty warm here in Charleston so I figured it's time to pull out some reggae. I had high hopes for this CD (especially since it took 10 years to release) but it wasn't really that great. Their are a few gems though and this is one of my favorites (a Johnny Cash cover) Have a nice week everyone.
